Recent fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
Hiya fam 🤗, been a while, guess who’s back from the break 😎.
So without further ado, we’re gonna be starting with something different from the norm but First and Foremost Happy New Year ✨ 😁.
You know the recent fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury? Great!
Lemme mention separately that Wilder was undefeated in his career just before this fight, got that? Good! Let’s move on.
I’m gonna be sharing lessons that I personally learnt from this fight, so I guess you understand that this means it’s my personal opinion? Perfect!
So, I saw quite a number of the pre-boxing match conference and face-off between these two great boxers and one thing I noticed was, one of those men didn’t have to say too much. I mean, there was so much calmness all over him (Note that being calm is different from being over confident). It was as though he needed all the energy he could harness for this particular fight in which he won (You know the man I’m referring to 😉), paid off ryt?
Now that’s not my point, my point is, his opponent did more of the talking, paparazzi àti bẹ bẹ lọ. Infact at a time he came out and you needed to have seen the outfit, so bogus! 😄 (permit me to use that word) And he wasn’t alone, his people were behind him rooting heavily for him. Wait! Did you see his cameo just before the fight and the costume? Beautiful! And to be honest, having seen all that, I personally thought the man who won eventually had no chance in the fight with him cos the said opponent already won the fights off the ring 😂.
Beloved, lo and behold, the more quiet one did his opponent a very strong thing (Don’t get confused, the pictures and videos attached would help in clarifying thus making you understand who I mean by the victor and the opponent)and I bet the opponent himself was shocked and is still shocked. (Believe me, this is void of mockery trust me, stating facts from records. I mean, what do you expect from someone who was undefeated in his career against someone who had a long break from boxing before returning? Shock after defeat ofcourse!)
Now, I’ve learnt “more”;
- That action speaks more volume than words.
- Regardless of your opposition’s carriage or appearance, don’t get distracted.
- It doesn’t matter who is rooting for you or who isn’t. It doesn’t matter the size of your opponent’s clan, focus on the task & on getting the job done.
- Sarcastically, it doesn’t matter the size, formation and muscle shape of your opponent too 😂, don’t get intimidated, cos for real, the said opponent does look built than the eventual winner as the latter looks more of possessing fats and not muscles 😂🙃.
At this point, I’ll say this “Your determination & hunger for success is bigger than your opponent, live in that consciousness!”
OK moving on to the most interesting part which I decided to leave for the last because better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof 😊 (Ecclesiastes 7:8).
I found out something else prior to and after the fight between these two and lo, inherent in it is another lesson to learn which is;
“Never ever underestimate God’s ability, never belittle Him.”
God can go as far as defying all odds, breaking protocols, defying laws of nature and anything at all to humiliate and disgrace anyone who does. If you don’t believe me, read all of I Samuel chapter 17 OR kúkú ask Goliath straightaway 😁. Goliath was a victim!
Never boast against God!
Please look at the pictures attached to this post, spot the difference between the two boxers and then you’d understand who God is and how powerful He is. Did I say ask Goliath, that’s too extreme. Ask the said opponent, he’ll tell you he felt and knew it wasn’t only the man that won that was fighting against him, somebody else was assisting him and honestly I suspect it was God 😂.
You should see one of the videos attached, where the victor was speaking just immediately after the fight and right there in the ring, that will buttress all these points and it’ll all make greater sense. Go check it out.
Let’s go scriptural ;
°Psalm 138:6 – “For though the LORD is high, He regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar.”
°Proverbs 3:34- “Toward the cscorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor”
°Proverbs 29:23- “One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.”
°Matthew 23:12- Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”…
We can go on and on as the Bible proves these valid but let’s halt there. So there was a man (the Victor) who understood the mystery of the scriptures thereby discovering the potency of God and how to tap from it, using it to his advantage and then, the result was and is still obvious!
Hear me, God exalts them that in lowliness, exalt Him! 💯.
You already get my point right? So let’s stop there.
Don’t forget to note that last key sentence though.
PS: Attached to this post is a very sarcastic video alongside others just for laughs actually, nothing more. Enjoy it. Infact, enjoy all while you learn!
Have a beautiful week ahead 💕
